After receiving numerous requests for my delicious and nutritious shake/juice recipes, I've decided to oblige and post them on the blog in the form of ROD's (recipes of the day).
Karyl made the initial foray into making healthy shakes in the spring with her spinach, apple, and cucumber concoction, and ever since then, I've taken over. So, without further ado, here's my most recent shake, the Sniffle Blaster, because, currently, Eli, Karyl, and I, are all fighting off colds.
Sniffle Blaster
(makes 3 pint sized mason jars)
2 cups brewed green tea (I used green tea with lemon and ginseng)
1/2 cup frozen chopped kale
1/2 cup frozen chopped broccoli
1 banana
1/2 bag of Dole Very Veggie salad
3/4 cup Stop & Shop frozen mixed fruit (peach, strawberry, mango, pineapple)
Blend together for 1 minute. Pour into mason jars and drink or store up to 2 days. After settling, you may have to shake the jars to mix the layers together. Enjoy!
